Monday, October 13, and Tuesday, October 14, 2025, were incredible days for Coronado’s Women’s Golf team. Nevada’s 5A Girls Golf Championship took place at Boulder City Golf Course on October 13th and Boulder Creek Golf Club on October 14, where Coronado’s golf team took home yet another championship win. The women’s golf team won by 3 strokes over Bishop Gorman, securing their 5th straight 5A team title as state champions.
“It was awesome to win State!” sophomore Alexa Hart explained. “We worked really hard, and it was in tough conditions.”
Coronado went against 6 other golf teams in the championship, and was unsurprisingly awarded first place. The team had dominated the field from the start of the season and was unstoppable. In their regular golf season, they were undefeated, placing first in every game. When it came to regionals, they placed second. Finally, they proudly won the state championship. While winning is an amazing part of Coronado’s golf season, the team got to experience bonds with teammates and create new friendships.
“My favorite part of the season is playing with my friends and having fun,” Hart said.
As the team worked hard and practiced all season, they created amazing memories and ties with one another, which created an even stronger team. Coronado is so proud of our remarkable golf team and coaches, and they’ve had an absolutely phenomenal 2025-2026 season.
