Coronado VS. Boulder City: Baseball 4/16

On Thursday, April 16th, 2026, Coronado’s varsity baseball team took on Boulder City High School. Playing on our home field, the game proved tight with a final score of 10-8. 

Though disappointed with the overall loss, it certainly does not diminish the boys' hard work both on and off the field this season. As we delve further into the season, the team is determined to improve their record. Sophomore Santiago Cocon explains what they have been focusing on to do so.

“On the field, we all work hard and stay locked in because we have goals to make it to the playoffs,” Cocon stated. “We have built our confidence on the field so we have a good feeling about the upcoming games. The team chemistry is also there, so we know we have each other’s backs.”

While this baseball season has had its ups and downs, it has been nothing short of rewarding for the team. From flourishing relationships to improvement on the field, each player has gained something this year. Cocon elaborated on what this season has meant to him.

“This season has definitely been very rewarding with all of the wins and opportunities we’ve gotten,” he said. “It’s been really great to be a part of the Coronado Cougars varsity baseball team.”
