On Monday, January 12th, Coronado scored another win in the books. Coronado’s Varsity Women’s and Men’s Bowling team both competed against Silverado High School in a difficult bowling battle for a win. The game took place at South Point at 3:00pm for both teams. The game was tough, with both teams fighting hard to make every point count. In the end, Coronado’s Men’s bowling team stole the game and won. Unfortunately, the Women’s Bowling team ended up losing, yet it’s most definitely not the end for them, as they will not be backing down in any games.
“The biggest challenge for the team this year is making our spares,” says sophomore Ethan Au.
It is not over yet for the Women’s Bowling Team though as they ended up taking the 2025 State Championship last year, and are working incredibly hard to win the state championship for their second year in a row. The Men’s Bowling Team is also preparing to get their state championship this year. Although some games have been difficult for both teams this year, the Women’s and Men’s Bowling teams work brutally hard, practicing intensely in order to secure more wins and take home both championships. However, winning is not the only fun part about being part of the Bowling team. Au believes that one of the best things about being on a connected team like this are the connections that are made throughout the season.
“The best part of being on the team is the people and the friends that I’ve made,” Au states.
While games are very important to the Bowling team, friendships and teammates make being on the team even more special. In order to make a strong team, teammates need to be able to bond and work together to win, and Coronado’s bowling team is a perfect example of this. The team works hard together and has created friendships with each other that has benefited the team.
Even though this game might not have been the most optimal for both the Women’s and Men’s Bowling team, it is guaranteed that there are many more games to come and wins to take home this season. Coronado’s Women’s and Men’s Bowling team has done an incredible job this season, pushing through hard situations and games, and advancing and growing as a team. They will no doubt continue to be successful throughout the remainder of the season, and are an amazing team overall.
